The mayor of Bewdley had invited us to lunch prior to the service, thank you Derek a very nice ‘extra’ to a super afternoon.
It’s a cold and damp afternoon, but dry.
St Mary’s and All Saints Church, Kidderminster. We have been passed this church many times, in fact we moored here overnight once, while traveling on our narrowboat. This church is right next to the canal.
Inside, it’s fabulous and I don’t think I have seen as much stained glass anywhere.
Chairman of Wyre Forest, Cllr Mike Salter gives his Christmas address and suggests we all look in on a neighbour and remember the spirit of Christmas. Wilden Primary School and Offmore Primary School also entertained the very well attended service.
The official party coming out after the service and walking the very short distance to the connected hall and refreshments.
