Annual Civic Service
Wychavon District Council Civic Service 31/5/2009
Each year the Chairman holds a civic service. The service asks for God’s blessing on the council, councillors and officers and seeks guidance for the year ahead. Invited guests come from all over the district and surrounding towns, districts and counties. Attendees are from all works of life and background. Many of those present represent school’s, the military, local organisations, guides, and many more. I was very pleased that some 170 people attended on a baking hot day and £446 was collected for the Chairman’s charities.
