One Response to “Councillor John Smith OBE”

  1. Chris Ludlow Says:

It’s a shame that John Smith from Pershore didn’t get a similar award.
He was on Pershore Town Council for 56 years, 38 years on the Rural/Wychavon District Council and 32 on Worcestershire County Council.
That is 126 years of service in total. If that length of time serving the public doesn’t deserve an award from the Queen, I don’t what does.
It’s utterly disgusting how John Smith was ignored. People from Pershore were very angry about this and some still are.
